Richie Berrington

After time with the Scotland 'A' team, Berrington made his One-Day International debut in 2008, facing Ireland. Several determined displays in the matches that followed earned him a regular place in the national team, and in March 2010 he was given a full-time contract.

A lack of consistency has been the main concern in his game and has been seen as holding him back from fulfilling his promise. Even so, he performed solidly at the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers, where he also made his first ODI century. That showing made his selection for Scotland's squad at the 2015 World Cup a straightforward decision.
