PakistanAll-rounder
Saim Ayub is a left-handed batter known for an elegant style at the crease, and he is widely seen as a young cricketer with plenty of promise still to be fulfilled.
His first appearance at international level came in March 2023, when he faced Afghanistan in Sharjah. The opening matches of his career did not go well, but he soon found his footing with an innings of 49 against an Afghan attack that featured Rashid Khan, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Mohammad Nabi. That was a demanding set of bowlers for a newcomer to confront, which made the score all the more encouraging.
He carried that form into his next T20I, this time against New Zealand in Lahore. Used in the middle order on that occasion, he contributed a valuable 47, and Pakistan went on to claim the match by a margin of 88 runs.
Beyond the international stage, Ayub has gained experience in franchise cricket across several leagues. Because he is still young, he has a great deal of time ahead of him to develop his game further.
