Salman Agha

Much of his early standing rested on his work in the middle order, where he regularly made substantial scores. Those performances kept his name in front of the national selectors, and after close to ten years of steady domestic effort he was handed a Test debut in 2022. That same year brought his first appearance in One Day Internationals, giving him a foothold in two international formats within a short span.

His reliability across formats then earned him a place in Pakistan's squad for the 2023 ODI World Cup. He featured in three matches at the tournament and registered a half-century during that campaign.

Leadership responsibility followed in late 2024, when he was named captain of Pakistan's T20I side for the tour of Zimbabwe. Beyond his batting in the middle order, Salman also offers his team a useful spin-bowling option, adding another dimension to his value in the side.
