New ZealandBowler
Jamieson is a fast bowler from Auckland who is regarded as an emerging talent. He is unusually tall for a cricketer, measuring 6 feet 6 inches, and he goes by the nickname Killa.
His first notable outing on a big stage came at the 2014 U-19 World Cup, where he played for New Zealand. He finished tied for second among his side's leading takers at that event. That showing caught the eye of Canterbury, who brought him into their squad for the following season.
The years that came next were not easy. He went through a couple of below-par seasons in which his form fell away. Then, in 2018, he made people take notice in an unexpected way. Facing the visiting England team, he struck a remarkable hundred, reaching three figures from 110 deliveries. Because his reputation had been built entirely on his bowling, the innings came as a real surprise to observers, and it brought him fresh attention as a cricketer who might offer more than pace alone.
