Bevon Jacobs

His story begins in South Africa, where he was born in Pretoria. His family relocated to New Zealand when he was three years old, and it was there that he grew up as a cricketer. Most of his playing career has been spent in Auckland, which has served as the base for his development in the domestic game.

Jacobs first drew wider attention through a series of striking displays in the 2023/24 Super Smash League. Those efforts helped earn him national recognition, and in 2025 he was named in New Zealand's squad for a home T20I series against Sri Lanka. He did not, however, feature in any of the matches during that series.

His profile rose further at the 2025 IPL Auctions, where his signing was seen as one of the unexpected moves of the event. Mumbai Indians secured his services, paying his base price to bring him into their squad.

These steps mark Jacobs as a young batter whose rise is still unfolding, with his opportunities at both domestic and franchise level offering the chance to build on the early promise he has shown.
