- Courtney Walsh - Zimbabwe bowling coach: [Fast bowlers always hunt in pairs. How excited are you with the current crop of your opening fast-bowling duo?] Very, very excited! Obviously, you know, we're missing Kemar [Roach] due to injury, but Blessing [Muzarabani] and the new guys have really stepped up. Blessing has taken on the role as a senior campaigner, and we’ve got two new guys here with us who are doing really well—one is playing in this tour, and the other has done well in both ODIs and T20s. It’s really pleasing to see the effort being put in. Personally, I'm just happy for Ernest [Masuku]. He got his break in both formats, he played an ODI match and then made his T20 debut, showing great fight. It's very, very pleasing to see that from him. [Personally for you, this ground must bring back some really special memories, five wickets for just one run against Sri Lanka. Are those fond memories coming back today?] Yeah, very, very fond memories! Looking at the wicket today, it’s actually the greenest I’ve ever seen Sharjah. It brings back memories of my best ODI performance. That game is really etched in my memory. In fact, I was speaking recently with a match referee who played in that exact match, and he reminded me all about it. So yeah, it brings back great memories. It’s always good to be back here in Sharjah. [There’s an important game coming up. How difficult is it to beat Afghanistan in this format?] I wouldn't say it's difficult, but we have to play 100% cricket in all departments. We need to execute as best as we can across the board. If we can do that, it's going to give us the edge. So, I think the key for us is to ensure we execute well and stay competitive throughout the game.
- Ibrahim Zadran - Afghanistan Captain: We also wanted to bowl first, but we will look to put up a good total. Initially in Sharjah the ball does a bit initially, but we would like to adjust and put up a challenging total. We have two changes for today.
- Sikandar Raza - Zimbabwe Captain: We will bowl first. The pitch looks like it will be difficult in the first few overs and we want to make use of it. The team has done well at the start, we let it slip away. I want the team to do well in the second part also and put up an improved performance. Along the way, I want Zimbabwe to play good cricket. We have three changes and two guys are making their debut.

- 17:31 Local Time, 13:31 GMT, 19:01 IST: Hello and welcome, everyone, to live coverage of the 2nd T20I between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe! The hosts come into this clash holding all the momentum after lifting the Tri-Series trophy and comfortably taking the series opener. Skipper Ibrahim Zadran will be eager to keep their dominant run going, while star man Rashid Khan, who is one wicket away to become the first over bowler to reach the 200 wickets in T20Is, continues to weave his magic with both bat and ball. As for Zimbabwe, they're in desperate need of a turnaround, struggling for consistency across all three departments, particularly with their top order failing to set a base. Can the visitors bounce back, or will Afghanistan seal another clinical win? Stick around as we head pitchside for the toss and team updates!
