India ABatter
Yash Rathod is a left-handed batsman who operates in the middle order and represents Vidarbha. His name became prominent through youth cricket, where a series of productive seasons carried him from domestic age-group competition into national selection.
His standout campaign came in the U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy, which Vidarbha went on to win with Rathod among the central contributors. He finished as the leading run-scorer of the competition, piling up 945 runs. Those came at an average of 94.5, and his tally included four centuries along with two half-centuries, a level of consistency that underpinned his team's march to the title.
Rathod's success was not limited to that tournament. Turning out for Central Zone in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy, he ended as the side's second-highest run-scorer. He then kept up his productivity in the Inter Zonal Trophy, where he again gathered a substantial number of runs. That body of work earned him a place in the India U-19 squad, with selection for a tour of Sri Lanka and for the ACC U-19 Asia Cup.
