Will Jacks

His junior years brought notable returns, including a hundred in a Youth Test against India and strong contributions at the Under-19 World Cup. He was viewed at first mainly as a white-ball cricketer, yet it was his off-spin that earned him a place in England's Test side in 2022. Alongside that, he has become a regular presence in franchise competitions across the world.

In the 2024 IPL he turned out for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and his standout moment was a century against Gujarat Titans. That innings, together with his attacking style and ability to contribute in more than one discipline, made him a sought-after T20 player.

For IPL 2025 he moved to Mumbai Indians and contributed with both bat and ball. He made 233 runs over the season, including one half-century, often lifting the scoring rate through the middle overs against pace and spin alike. His bowling was used only occasionally, but he still collected 6 wickets.

Looking ahead to IPL 2026, Mumbai Indians are expected to give him a clearer job as an attacking middle-order batter who can also move up the order, with an emphasis on scoring quickly and taking on spin. His off-spin is also seen as a handy sixth bowling option, particularly on pitches that help the slower bowlers.
