Brendan Doggett

In 2016 the Queensland Bulls handed him a rookie deal, although he never got onto the field for them during that contract. His opportunity in List-A cricket came instead with the Cricket Australia XI, for whom he debuted in the 2016/17 Matador Cup. In his first 50-over appearance for that side he finished with one wicket, and the batter he removed was Ben Cutting.

First-class cricket followed a season after that List-A bow, when he lined up for Queensland. His maiden Shield outing was a strong one: he claimed 4 wickets, and Glenn Maxwell was among his victims. That performance helped propel him rapidly up the ranks. After his time with Queensland, he relocated to South Australia for the 2021/22 season.

In the Big Bash League, the Brisbane Heat also put him on a rookie contract, and he went on to play for the Heat across a couple of seasons beginning in 2017/18. He switched to the Sydney Thunder for 2019/20, and by 2023/24 he was representing the Adelaide Strikers.
