Vishnu Vinod

Before stepping up to senior cricket, Vinod established himself as a dependable run-scorer at Under 23 and Under 25 level. In junior cricket he struck at better than 150, and he is known for being able to hit the ball over the boundary almost whenever he chooses. He also adapts well to wherever he is placed in the batting order, a flexibility that makes him a useful figure to keep an eye on within the Kerala squad.

His start in first-class cricket was respectable. On debut against Haryana he made 58, and he added a handful of other noteworthy innings after that. His power hitting caught the attention of Royal Challengers Bangalore, who picked him up in 2016. His time there was less productive, however: his innings mostly ended in single figures, his best effort was 9, and he was unable to secure a regular spot in the starting eleven.

Vinod now has experience across India's domestic tournaments, but coping with high-pressure moments has been identified as a weakness. Developing greater composure in tight situations remains the main area of his game that needs work.
