Wellington Masakadza

His first senior call-up came in 2015, around the time Hamilton lost his ODI place for the series against Ireland after a lean spell with the bat. Wellington debuted in the opening ODI in Harare on October 9, 2015, claiming 2/45. He also showed composure with the bat. Zimbabwe were 171/7 in pursuit of 220 when he walked in, and he added 38 for the eighth wicket alongside Sikandar Raza to help steer the hosts to victory and a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Days later, on October 15, 2015, he removed two Afghanistan batters in a wicket-maiden during the sixth over of the first ODI at Bulawayo and ended with 4/21.

A week before the 2016 World T20 got under way, he was drafted in as a replacement for Graeme Cremer. Aged 22, he had only ten ODIs and three T20Is behind him, yet he looked calm against Scotland, mixing his pace cleverly as their batters went after him and finishing with a match-winning 4/28.

His Test bow came against Bangladesh in Sylhet on November 3, 2018, and he took two wickets in the last innings as Zimbabwe won by 151 runs. In Edinburgh on September 17, 2021, he was given the last over of the second T20I against Scotland with 12 runs to defend; he kept his cool, dismissed the set Leask and helped Zimbabwe square the three-match series. Known for economical, accurate bowling, he became a key member of Zimbabwe's white-ball setup.
