Paras Dogra is a right-handed batsman whose career has been built largely in Indian domestic cricket, where he has earned a reputation as one of the circuit's most productive run-scorers. He has played for Himachal Pradesh since 2001, giving the northern state a dependable presence in its batting order over many seasons.

His output for Himachal Pradesh is considerable. He has scored more than 6000 runs for the side and has registered 20 first-class hundreds. Because Himachal Pradesh has not been among the more celebrated domestic teams, however, much of this work has drawn less attention than it might have with a higher-profile side.
Dogra has also had several stints in the Indian Premier League. He made a good impression with Rajasthan in the 2010 edition, but in later seasons he was unable to secure a regular place with either Punjab or Kolkata. Ahead of the 2016 season, Gujarat signed him at his base price of INR 10 lakhs, yet he did not get a match that year and spent the campaign on the sidelines.
