Deandra Dottin

After being moved up to open on a tour of Europe, she made 149 runs. A lean 2009 World Cup pushed her back down to the lower middle order, but she responded straight away with a half-century against Australia in the following game. Her most famous innings came at the 2010 T20 World Cup, when she struck 112 off 45 balls against South Africa at a strike rate of 248.88, recording the fastest hundred in women's T20 cricket.

Dottin's contributions go well beyond batting. At the 2018 World Twenty20 she was named the tournament's standout player for her work with bat and ball, including figures of 5-5 against Bangladesh. That September she became only the third women's cricketer to reach 100 WT20I appearances, and in September 2020 she became the first cricketer to hit 100 sixes in WT20Is. She now opens the batting for the West Indies, makes strong use of fielding restrictions, and has developed into a genuine pace bowler, making her a valuable all-rounder in the shortest format.

She is also a fine fielder at backward point. At the 2022 Cricket World Cup against England she dived through the air to hold a one-handed catch that was hailed as the best of the tournament. Away from cricket, she won medals for Barbados in athletics at the CARIFTA Games. She is a cousin of former West Indies fast bowler Ottis Gibson and calls herself "World Boss".
