Leus du Plooy

Since that debut he has kept improving on the domestic circuit, and his progress earned him a place in the South Africa Emerging Players squad. The longer format has been especially productive for him: across a relatively small number of first-class appearances he has gathered more than 1000 runs, including three centuries.

Batting is not his only contribution. du Plooy also bowls left-arm spin, which his sides call on in a part-time role. Still early in his career, he was selected by Benoni Zalmi for the Global T20 League, a chance to display his ability on a bigger stage.
