Richa Ghosh

What sets Ghosh apart is her ability to clear the boundary almost whenever she chooses, a talent that is rare in Indian cricket and much in demand. That gift soon made her the player India turned to when a match was slipping away or when the scoring rate needed a lift. She also overtook Yastika Bhatia to become the preferred wicket-keeper, particularly in the shorter formats. Her fitness and her running between the wickets have drawn criticism at times, but her hitting has consistently compensated. She was part of India's squads for the 2022 Women's Cricket World Cup and the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup.

In late 2024, during the third T20I against the West Indies, Ghosh reached fifty from only 18 deliveries. That matched the mark held by Phoebe Litchfield and Sophie Devine for the quickest half-century in women's T20 internationals.

Her striking has also earned her opportunities in franchise cricket. The Hobart Hurricanes signed her for the 2021-22 WBBL season. When the WPL launched, Royal Challengers Bangalore secured her for 1.90 Cr in its first edition, and she later played a key part in the side's run to the 2024 WPL title.
