Annabel Sutherland

Her domestic grounding came with Victoria, where she enjoyed several productive seasons before earning international selection. Her first match for Australia came in February 2020 during a home Tri-series that also featured England and India. In a chase of 157, Australia required 40 runs from the last 3 overs, and Sutherland responded calmly, hitting 22 from 11 deliveries with 4 boundaries to push the contest into a super-over.

In the years that followed, she established herself in all three formats of the Australian team and became one of the most sought-after all-rounders in franchise cricket. Her batting reached new heights in February 2024, when she scored 210 against South Africa in a Test. That innings made her only the 10th women's player to reach a Test double century, and it stands as the second-highest individual score by an Australian woman.

Roughly a year after that milestone, she made 163 against England in an Ashes Test and was named Player of the Match. Sutherland has also tasted global success, belonging to the Australian squads that won the ODI World Cup in New Zealand in 2022 and the T20 World Cup in South Africa in 2023.
