Vicky Ostwal

He first drew wider attention at the 2022 Under-19 World Cup, which India won with Ostwal in the squad. Against South Africa U19 he ripped through the opposition batting, returning figures of 5-28 from his 10 overs. That spell set the tone for a tournament in which he played a key role in carrying India to the final and on to the title. By the end of the competition no Indian bowler had taken more wickets than his 12, a tally he collected across only 6 matches.

The same year marked his move into senior cricket. Ostwal broke into the Maharashtra side in 2022 and made his debut in all three formats. That year he also earned franchise recognition when the Delhi Capitals signed him for his base price of INR 20 lakh.
