MaharashtraAll-rounder
Rajvardhan Hangargekar is a right-arm fast bowler capable of reaching speeds of 140kph. Alongside his work with the new ball, he has shown he can strike the ball hard when batting down the order, which adds a useful second string to his game.
His first appearances for Maharashtra came in 2021, in the limited-overs formats. Wider attention followed at the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, where he opened the bowling for India. He played a key part in a strong period for the Under-19 side, which won both the Asia Cup and the World Cup.
Those performances made him a sought-after name at the 2022 IPL auction, where several franchises competed for his signature. Chennai Super Kings secured him for INR 1.50 crore. He did not play at all that season, however, as he faced scrutiny over an alleged age-fraud violation.
Hangargekar made his IPL debut in the 2023 season and took three wickets in that first outing, going on to appear in a couple of matches that year. The 2024 season brought no game time, as he spent the whole campaign on the bench. Ahead of the 2025 season, Lucknow Super Giants picked him up at the auction for INR 30 lakh.
