Priyansh Arya is a top-order batsman from Delhi known for an aggressive, attacking approach and for clearing the boundary with ease. He is one of only a handful of cricketers to have struck six sixes in a single over.
That feat came in the Delhi Premier League, when Arya was playing for South Delhi Superstarz against North Delhi Strikers. The bowler on the receiving end was the left-arm spinner Manan Bhardwaj, and every ball of the over went for six. In the same innings Arya made 120 from 50 balls, helping his side post 308/5 from their 20 overs. Much of that total was built through a partnership of 286 runs between Arya and Ayush Badoni, who contributed 165 from 55 deliveries of his own.
Arya's form across the competition was just as notable. In the first edition of the Delhi Premier League he finished as the top run-getter, collecting over 600 runs.
His performances earned him a place in the Indian Premier League, where Punjab Kings secured his services for 3.80CR INR. The IPL offers him a far bigger stage and a chance to test his power-hitting against bowlers of international quality.
