Daryn Dupavillon

Over his career so far he has turned out for a range of sides, including Maritzburg College, the South Africa Under-19s, KwaZulu-Natal, KwaZulu-Natal Inland and the Dolphins.

His first-class career started in 2013 at Potchefstroom, where KwaZulu-Natal Inland faced North West in the CSA Provincial Three-Day Competition. It was a difficult introduction. His side collapsed to just 26 all out in their first innings, Dupavillon managed a single wicket across the match, and North West won by an innings and 76 runs.

The moment that first drew real attention to him on the domestic scene came in the Sunfoil Series 2014-15. Playing for the Dolphins against the Knights, he claimed 8 wickets, a decisive contribution in a game the Dolphins won by 242 runs. That performance was seen as the beginning of his rise as a bowler with international ambitions, and his work ethic and ability have fuelled hopes that he may one day earn a place in the national team.
