Azmatullah Omarzai

With the ball, he is noted for his accuracy and for moving the new ball in either direction. That skill caught the eye of Sachin Tendulkar during the 2023 World Cup. After Omarzai claimed wickets in consecutive deliveries against Australia, Tendulkar took to social media to praise the young seamer's wrist position, likening it to that of the Indian swing bowlers Praveen Kumar and Bhuvneshwar Kumar and suggesting it could be an asset in helpful conditions.

His batting carries equal weight. He hits the ball cleanly but also knows how to build and manage an innings, and at that same 2023 World Cup he made three half-centuries, a return that established him on the global stage as a true allrounder. Add his outstanding fielding, and Omarzai offers a complete package for limited-overs cricket.
