Nikita Miller is a spin bowler who built his reputation in Caribbean domestic cricket with Jamaica. His breakthrough came in the 2007-08 season, when no bowler claimed more wickets in the Carib Beer Challenge Trophy, and he capped that campaign with a five-wicket haul in the competition's final. Those performances earned him a place for the last two ODIs against Australia in 2008, where his tidy bowling was enough to keep him involved in later tournaments.

His T20I career began against Bangladesh in 2009, but he was unable to stay in the side for long. A recall arrived in 2014 for the T20Is on the tour of New Zealand, yet he managed just two wickets in two matches and has not featured in the format since.
Miller's lone Test appearance came against Bangladesh, after he was unexpectedly drafted into the squad when most of the leading players boycotted following a dispute with the board. Competition for spin places was fierce, with Sunil Narine, Devendra Bishoo, Shane Shillingford and Veerasammy Permaul all emerging, and Miller struggled to establish himself at Test level. He responded by continuing to bowl Jamaica to important wins, and the board's 2013 Awards function named him First-Class Player of the year.
When Narine withdrew from the 2015 World Cup squad to work on his suspect action, Miller was brought in as his replacement. He played only once in the tournament, against Zimbabwe at Canberra, returning figures of 1/48 from 6.3 overs. After a spell out of the side, he was recalled for the West Indies tour of New Zealand, appearing in a single ODI at Christchurch.
