Thomas Kaber

When batting he plays right-handed, and when bowling he delivers slow left-arm chinaman. That combination gives his captain options in more than one department of the game, and it is with the ball that he has made his biggest mark so far.

His standout campaign was the 2016-17 CSA Provincial One-Day challenge. Over the course of that tournament no other bowler took more wickets than he did, and he ended it with 21 dismissals to his name from 10 appearances, finishing at the top of the wicket-taking charts for the competition.

That haul brought a reward. On the strength of his performances he was named in the Cape Town Knight Riders squad for the Global T20 League, earning a place in the competition's first edition.
