MumbaiBatter
Angkrish Raghuvanshi is a right-handed batter from India who first drew wide attention at the 2022 U19 World Cup. India won the tournament, and no Indian batter scored more runs across the event than he did.
He was born in Delhi but relocated to Mumbai when he was 11. There he began working with Abhishek Nayar, whose guidance proved important to his growth as a cricketer. Raghuvanshi went to the same school that Rohit Sharma had attended, and a coach there was impressed enough to compare the two.
Following his success at youth level, he broke into the Mumbai side, debuting in the 2023-24 season. Around the same time he earned his first IPL deal with KKR, a franchise where Nayar was among the coaches. He made an immediate mark. In his first IPL innings, against the Delhi Capitals, he hit 54 from only 27 deliveries, making him the youngest player to post a half-century on IPL debut.
By IPL 2025 he was a more assured presence in the Kolkata side. He was not always certain of a spot in a strong batting group, but when chosen he provided useful middle-order runs, sometimes with brisk short innings and sometimes with steadier knocks that settled the team. His shot choices and composure were seen as having developed, pointing to a player growing into a dependable batting option, and KKR are expected to rely on him more heavily in IPL 2026.
