Liam Hatcher

His first senior opportunities arrived during the 2015-16 season. He made his List A debut turning out for the Cricket Australia XI in the Matador One-Day Cup, and only a few weeks later he played his first first-class match, facing the visiting New Zealand side in early 2016. Later that year he went to England with Australia's under-19 squad to compete in a limited-overs tri-series.

The NSW Blues also took an interest in his development, placing him in several of their programmes with the aim of turning him into a pace option for the state team.

In the Big Bash League, Sydney Thunder brought him into their squad for BBL 06, although he had to wait until the 2020/21 season for his first appearance in the competition, which came for the Melbourne Stars. By 2023/24 he had returned to the Thunder.
