Dharmendrasinh Jadeja is a left-arm spinner from Rajkot who also contributes with the bat, giving his side the balance of a genuine all-rounder. His development has drawn comparison with the route taken by Indian spinner Ravindra Jadeja, whose style of cricket he has followed in building his own game.
His introduction to the Ranji Trophy came in 2012, and he made an immediate impression by taking three wickets in that first appearance. From there he steadily established a settled role, becoming one of the bowlers Saurashtra could rely upon to keep taking wickets.
His first-class numbers reflect that dependability. Across 34 matches at that level he has claimed 136 wickets, conceding an average of 26.78 runs for each one, figures that underline how regularly he has made breakthroughs for his side.
That consistency earned him wider recognition in 2018. During that year he was named in the India A squad to face South Africa A, and he was also included in the India B side for the Deodhar Trophy, marking a step up from domestic first-class cricket towards the selectors' wider pool of players.
