His first domestic side was Madhya Pradesh, for whom he played from 2008 to 2017. After that spell he moved to the adjoining Chhattisgarh team, which he has since gone on to captain.
In the IPL, Bhatia has been signed by several franchises. Kolkata Knight Riders, Pune Warriors and RCB have all picked him in the past, with the RCB selection coming in 2017. Despite those signings, he had not played a match in the competition when the source was written.
His most recent IPL move came when Punjab Kings added him to their squad for the 2023 season, giving him another opportunity at that level while he continues to lead Chhattisgarh in domestic cricket.
