Steven Taylor

His first major test came at the 2010 Under-19 World Cup, where he appeared as a wicketkeeper batsman. In the 2010-2011 season he was named vice-captain of the side at the ICC Americas Under-19 Championship. The USA went on to take the title, and Taylor enjoyed an excellent tournament, making 157 runs over 5 matches and accounting for 7 dismissals.

A run of reliable displays in domestic cricket led to his selection for the 2010 World Cricket League Division Four. In 2012 he was chosen for the World T20 Qualifiers, adding further international experience.

The year 2013 brought some landmark moments. At the ICC World Cricket League Americas Region Twenty20 Division One, Taylor became the first batsman from the USA to reach a hundred in T20 cricket, striking 101 from 62 deliveries against Bermuda. He went on to post a second century in that competition, finishing unbeaten on 127 against the Cayman Islands. He was productive again at the 2013 World Cricket League Division Three, gathering 274 runs, a total that featured a century against Nepal.
