Wihan Lubbe

His first-class career began in 2013, when he lined up for North West against Western Province. Batting at number 3 on debut, he made 34 in the first innings and 41 in the second, and those contributions helped North West to an 8-wicket win. Strong form for his university side in 2016 later earned him a call-up to the Nelson Mandela Bay Stars. In the longer format he has compiled a respectable record, with an unbeaten 150 as his best score.

Lubbe's most eye-catching innings came in the shortest format. On September 15, 2018, at Paarl, he faced Limpopo for North West in the Africa T20 Cup and reached three figures in just 33 deliveries, finishing on 102. His innings featured 11 sixes and 5 fours, and it powered North West to 262/4. Limpopo fell well short, and North West took the match by 102 runs, a margin that happened to equal Lubbe's own tally.

Earlier that year, in June 2018, he was included in the Highveld Lions squad ahead of the 2018–19 season.
