Bhargav Bhatt

His breakthrough came in the season after his debut. Bowling with real success, he collected 47 wickets and finished as Baroda's top wicket-taker for the campaign. That haul led to an Indian Premier League contract with Kings XI Punjab in 2011. He appeared for the franchise in a handful of games, and his time with them ran until 2013.

Bhatt has largely been a regular in Baroda's Ranji Trophy line-up, though on a few occasions poor form has cost him his place. His reputation rests on accuracy: he is regarded as a capable bowler of his type who can keep attacking the stumps reliably, over after over. The best figures of his first-class career, 7/113 in a single innings, came in a match against West Indies A.
