SikkimBowler
Satyajeet Bachhav is a left-arm spinner who bowls the slow orthodox style. He comes from Nasik, in the state of Maharashtra, and his first-class career began in 2012.
His time with Maharashtra has been a story of patience. He has spent many seasons attached to the state squad without becoming a fixture in the starting eleven, and his first-class appearances remain few. Chances to show what he can do have come along less often than he would have liked.
His standout performance came in September 2018 in a Vijay Hazare Trophy fixture against Punjab, when he claimed five wickets. Among his victims were two well-known batsmen, Yuvraj Singh and Mandeep Singh. That spell played a major part in a Maharashtra victory, with the side winning the game by a margin of 94 runs.
In the longer format, a five-wicket return in an innings has so far eluded him, which makes that limited-overs display against Punjab the clearest example to date of the impact he can make when given the ball.
