JharkhandWicketkeeper batter
Robin Minz is a wicketkeeper who bats with an aggressive, attacking approach. His big hitting has earned him the affectionate nickname of Jharkhand's 'Chris Gayle'.
Before reaching the Indian Premier League, Minz built a reputation through strong showings across a range of local competitions. Those performances kept him in view of IPL talent scouts over an extended period. Gujarat Titans were the first franchise to pick him, for IPL 2024, but an accident and the injury that followed kept him out of that season.
His chance finally came in IPL 2025 with Mumbai Indians. Opportunities were scarce: he appeared in 2 matches and made 6 runs. The figures were modest, but the campaign gave the young keeper-batter a first taste of top-level T20 cricket and of working within the Mumbai Indians environment.
As IPL 2026 approaches, Minz will be looking for more game time and a more settled place in the playing XI. His power with the bat makes him a candidate for a hard-hitting middle-order role. If he can turn that experience into more consistent output and take his chances, he has the potential to offer Mumbai Indians both a finisher and a wicketkeeping option.
